NaijaJollof is operated by Sagencom Ad Service, a business registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. By accessing or using NaijaJollof, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

1 Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years of age to use NaijaJollof
  • Business owners must have a legitimate, operating food business
  • You must provide accurate and truthful registration information
  • Accounts found to be fraudulent will be immediately terminated

2 Nature of the Platform

NaijaJollof is a food business directory and advertising platform. We connect customers with food businesses in Nigeria. We are NOT a food delivery service, a marketplace, or a party to any transaction between customers and businesses.

Sagencom Ad Service is not responsible for:

  • The quality, safety, or legality of any food sold by listed businesses
  • Any transactions, disputes, or agreements between customers and businesses
  • The accuracy of menu prices, operating hours, or availability
  • Any health or safety issues arising from food consumed through businesses found on NaijaJollof

3 Business Owner Obligations

By listing your business on NaijaJollof, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date business information
  • Hold all required licences, permits, and registrations to operate a food business in Nigeria
  • Comply with all applicable Nigerian food safety and health regulations (NAFDAC, SON, etc.)
  • Not post false, misleading, or deceptive listing information
  • Not list illegal, unlicensed, or prohibited food businesses
  • Respond to customer enquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Maintain the quality and standards represented in your listing

4 Customer Obligations

As a customer using NaijaJollof, you agree to:

  • Use the platform solely for lawful purposes
  • Not submit false, defamatory, or malicious reviews
  • Not attempt to manipulate ratings or reviews
  • Respect the privacy and intellectual property rights of businesses
  • Not use scrapers, bots, or automated tools to access the platform

5 Prohibited Content

The following are strictly prohibited on NaijaJollof and may result in immediate account termination.
  • Listings for illegal food businesses or those operating without required permits
  • False or misleading business information, photos, or pricing
  • Hate speech, discriminatory content, or harassment of any kind
  • Fake reviews — whether positive (self-promotion) or negative (competitor attacks)
  • Content infringing the intellectual property rights of third parties
  • Adult or sexually explicit content
  • Any content that violates Nigerian law

6 Our Rights

Sagencom Ad Service reserves the right to:

  • Remove any listing or content that violates these Terms without notice
  • Suspend or permanently ban accounts for violations
  • Modify, update, or discontinue any feature of NaijaJollof at any time
  • Adjust pricing for premium subscriptions or advertising packages with 30 days notice
  • Reject any advertising booking without obligation to provide reasons

7 Intellectual Property

All content on NaijaJollof created by Sagencom Ad Service — including the platform name, logo, design, and code — is the intellectual property of Sagencom Ad Service.

Business owners retain ownership of their own listing content but grant NaijaJollof a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display their content on the platform.

8 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY NIGERIAN LAW, SAGENCOM AD SERVICE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of NaijaJollof, food quality or safety incidents, service interruptions, or disputes between customers and businesses.

Our total aggregate liability to any user shall not exceed the amount paid by that user to NaijaJollof in the 3 months preceding the claim.

9 Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
  • Any dispute shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation between parties
  • If unresolved, disputes shall be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act (Cap A18, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004)
  • The seat of arbitration shall be Lagos, Nigeria

10 Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be notified via email with at least 14 days notice.
